This dataset is the result of the content analysis of 81 Indonesian higher education institutional repositories. The content analysis is part of a Doctoral research at the Department of Information Studies, School of Media, Culture and Creative Arts, Faculty of Humanities, Curtin University, Western Australia. The research title is Institutional Repositories and Open Access in Indonesian Higher Education Sector: Case Studies of Three Indonesian Universities (Ethics Approval: No. RDHU-08-15). The other parts of the research are an Online Survey (Jun-Aug 2015) and in-depth interviews conducted in three Indonesian universities in Nov-Dec 2015. The content analysis that produced this dataset is a longitudinal study conducted between Dec 01, 2016 and Feb 01, 2017. This dataset is originally uploaded to accompany a journal article and contains quantitative results of the content analysis: geographical distribution of the IRs, distribution of the IRs based on the status of the universities (state, private), software of the IRs and their features, degree of openness, number of digital objects in each IR, types of work present in each IR, the use of keywords and subject headings as access points (including the language of the access points), and local practices (author and collection naming). The content analysis was mainly done to the metadata of some sample records from and characteristics of each IR. This dataset includes the dataset from the first study (on a different Excel worksheet). The dataset from the first content analysis study that was conducted between Nov 19, 2014 and Feb 01, 2015 can also be found as a separate dataset at https://doi.org/10.4225/06/565BACB4C3CBA . This dataset has resulted in a publication of a journal article titled A Different Shade of Green: A Survey of Indonesian Higher Education Institutional Repositories published in Journal of Librarianship and Scholarly Communication (JLSC) in 2017 (https://doi.org/10.7710/2162-3309.2136 ).&rft.creator=Anonymous&rft.date=2017&rft.relation=http://doi.org/10.7710/2162-3309.2136&rft.relation=http://doi.org/10.4225/06/565BACB4C3CBA&rft.coverage=ID&rft_rights=Free for re-use under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 Licence http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/&rft_rights=CC BY: Attribution 4.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/&rft_subject=Institutional Repositories&rft_subject=Open Access&rft_subject=Indonesia&rft_subject=Higher Education&rft_subject=Scholarly Communication&rft_subject=Research Activity&rft_subject=Applied research&rft_subject=Informetrics&rft_subject=INFORMATION AND COMPUTING SCIENCES&rft_subject=LIBRARY AND INFORMATION STUDIES&rft_subject=Organisation of Information and Knowledge Resources&rft_subject=INFORMATION SERVICES&rft_subject=INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION SERVICES&rft.type=dataset&rft.language=English Access the data
