Brief description

Digital Elevation data record the terrain height variations from the processed point-located data recorded during a geophysical survey. The data acquired are a mass of ground heights representing a terrain surface. The data are either geoidal (representing the vertical distance from a location on the Earth's surface to the geoid) or ellipsoidal (representing the vertical distance from a location on the Earth's surface to the ellipsoid).
