Includes specimens collected by Ferdinand von Müller including sets of dried samples sent to Mechanics Institutes throughout the colony as part of von Müller's philosophy towards the education of the public about native plants. Also includes collections from James H Willis, botanist and author, Herbert Bennet Williamson, teacher and herbarium keeper, and Winifred (Winty) Wright (Calder), plant ecologist.
