The Dewar Wilson Goode Guide to Records documents and contextualises the records of Dewar Wilson Goode, a pastoralist and conservationist who played a considerable role in soil conservation and management of farming land in Australia. The records document Goode's contribution to nature preservation and land management, his broad community service and the environmental cause over eight decades. The collection documented by the Guide consists of 1037 inventory items, mostly paper format files, grouped into 27 series. The total collection occupies 1,067 linear cm of shelf space (or its equivalent).The Guide is the output of a research database. It was published online by the eScholarship Research Centre in August 2008. Work on the Guide was begun by the Australian Science Archives Project in the mid-1990s and continued by the Australian Science and Technology Heritage Centre, which later became the eScholarship Research Centre.
The records were transferred to the State Library of Victoria (MS 13586). The collection was listed by Paula Montesano, Lisa Cianci, Stewart Brash, Angela Savage, Dorothy MacLaren, Lisa O'Sullivan, Rachel Tropea and Ann McCarthy.
