These are classified as either residential, commercial or industrial. Residential building points from the database were extracted to create a national residential building point feature class. The ArcGIS Point Density tool was applied to create the highest resolution raster (100m). This output was then aggregated up to the three lower resolutions (500m, 1km, 2km) using the ArcGIS Aggregate tool. NEXIS (National Exposure Information System) Residential Dwelling Density is a set of four raster layers representing the density of residential dwellings across Australia at different scales and resolutions. Resolutions include 2km, 1km, 500m and 100m.

Statement: The NEXIS (National Exposure Information System) building database provides nationally consistent exposure information about Australia's residents and buildings. These are classified as either residential, commercial or industrial. Residential building points from the database were extracted to create a national residential building point feature class. The ArcGIS Point Density tool was applied to create the highest resolution raster (100m). This output was then aggregated up to the three lower resolutions (500m, 1km, 2km) using the ArcGIS Aggregate tool.
