Brief description

The waste collection bin days data set is a polygon type data set that is a spatial representation of the collection areas and their corresponding collection days within the Local Government Area of Rockhampton Region. These areas are a generalised representation and a guide as to what days the bins are collected and does not guarantee that a collection service is available or currently exists for properties that fall within these areas.

GENERAL WASTE BIN COLLECTION DAYS - Lineage:\r\nThis bin days layer was digitised from hand drawn maps provide by the Rockhampton Regional Council Waste Department. It has undergone numerous revisions due to amalgamation / deamalgamation. \r\n\r\nPositional Accuracy: \r\nThis dataset consists of generalised areas that cover most urban areas. Spatial accuracy is average as a lot of the polygon cut through properties or do not cover them complete. This is intended as it designed as a generalised guide only and accounts for all future subdivisions/amalgamations of properties that fall within the polygons.\r\n\r\nThere is a high confidence in that the collections areas in relation to their collection days are correct. \r\n\r\nAttribute Accuracy:\r\nThe attribute accuracy of bin collection day is of a high level of accuracy as its attributes were added in house through consultation with RRC’s waste truck drivers.\r\n\r\nThe attribute fields attached to the bin days are as follows.\r\n•\tBIN_DAY\r\n
