Depth to top of the interconnected Grant Group and Poole Sandstone aquifers

This was used to communicate the depth required to intersect the aquifers by drilling.Point stratigraphic picks from mineral and exploration holes published in Mory (2010) were collated along with stratigraphic picks from groundwater bores available through the Western Australian government Department of Water and Environmental Regulation's, online Water Information Reporting portal. All available stratigraphic picks were combined in ArcGIS and used to interpolate isopachs for the thickness and extent of individual stratigraphic units overlying the interconnected Grant Group and Poole Sandstone in the Fitzroy Trough Western Australia. The interpolated surface is represented by a triangulated irregular network (TIN). The TIN was sampled at a regular interval to generate a raster surface using ArcGIS. The coordinate system for the source point data is Universal Transverse Mercator, which was then projected as GDA_1994_MGA_Zone_51.
