Brief description
Research into the history of the Australian media is hampered by the fact that archival records are unknown, scattered, fragmented, inaccessible, or in obscure locations. The Media Archives Project aims to identify archival collections about the Australian media held in private hands - by companies, peak bodies, community groups, and individual media practitioners.
The collections located about the Australian media include correspondence, personnel files, minute books, newspaper indexes and clippings files, audio-visual material, and equipment.
